Lake Country Dancesport is putting on the Ritz Friday January 15, 2010. All you Shebas and Sheiks get dolled up in those pearls and don your red bow ties. There's a prize for keen attire. Good hoofers wanted, but there will be a Charleston Group Class with The Big Cheese Alex from 7-8 pm. Dance to follow until 10 pm. Nifty appetizers and hooch included. If you'd like to bring a dish to pass, that would be swell. Don't take any nickels *BE SURE TO COME WITH THE PASSWORD FOR REDUCED ADMISSION. (12 rubes with password, 15 rubes without) It'll be the cat's pajamas. |

Salsa basics 12:30 to 1:45 Basic Step, Basic turn patterns, rhythm and tempo, Cuban motion, role of leads and a follows, dancing in the slot, salsa club culture and etiquette - $20
Classic Fundamentals 2:00 to 3:15 Learn the fundamental steps from which almost all salsa combinations begin; cross body lead, out of the way, hook step, hammer lock, inside and outside turns - $20 per person.
Half hour refreshment break
Ready to Rumble - 3:45 to 5:00 Choreograph exciting combinations from the basic steps learned in previous two classes - $20 per person
Burn the Floor - 5:15 to 6:30: Set the dance floor on fire with several new combinations often performed by seasoned Salseros at popular salsa clubs - $20 per person.
